Anya Taylor-Joy continued her stylish romp through New York City today, where she added an eyebrow-raising bag to her repertoire. At first glance, the enormous mahogany suede doctor bag that the actor toted looked to be an oversized Margaux bag from The Row. But in fact, it wasn’t the stealth-wealth bag dubbed a “future heirloom” by British Vogue’s Alice Cary, but something else entirely.
Taylor-Joy, in fact, carried the Atlas bespoke Weekender. While it bears a striking resemblance to The Row’s It-bag, it features distinct differences: the Atlas bag lacks the buckle detail on the side panels and has longer handles that disconnect from the purse, among other distinctions.
The bag is no Wirkin-style knockoff, though. It was created especially to serve as the 2025 Golden Globes gift bag vessel, where Taylor-Joy was as a presenter. (Not just anyone can walk away with the million dollar gift bag—you’ve got to earn it by presenting or taking home a trophy.)
The actor, in the throes of promoting her new film The Gorge, paired the Row-adjacent bag with a Matrix-esque black leather trench coat, a turtleneck, trousers, and heeled leather boots. Chic outfit aside, our eyes are drawn straight to the gargantuan tote in the crook of Taylor-Joy’s elbow. We’re sure that the Globes’ gift bag committee is thrilled to see the bag being put to good use.
