After several postponements due to the Los Angeles wildfires, Friday, February 7, finally saw the arrival of the 30th Critics Choice Awards, hosted by comedian Chelsea Handler.

The telecast was a starry if relatively subdued affair, with several awardees, including Colin Farrell, Kathy Bates, and Adrien Brody, taking a moment to salute the first responders who bravely fought back the blazes in the area—a number of whom were invited to attend the ceremony as guests of honor.

What films and TV shows won 2025 Critics Choice Awards?

There was a nice distribution of wins in the film categories, with Anora claiming best picture; Wicked winning prizes for director Jon M. Chu, production designers Nathan Crowley and Lee Sandales, and costume designer Paul Tazewell; Conclave winning best acting ensemble and best adapted screenplay (for Peter Straughan); Emilia Pérez winning best foreign-language film, best song, and best supporting actress (for Zoe Saldaña); Adrien Brody winning best actor for his performance in The Brutalist; and Demi Moore and Coralie Fargeat winning best actress and best original screenplay, respectively, for their work on The Substance.
