[Lisa] The look that I have,

it's really tricky to move around with it,

but, you know, I can make it happen.

[Lisa laughing]

[upbeat pop music]

I'm performing at the VS show tonight.

I'm so exciting.

I love to watch the show when I was young, and yeah.

Me and my girls used to pretend

that we're like one of the model.

[Lisa laughing]

Like walk around. So I'm happy to be here!

It feels surreal. I love this show so much.

I'm looking forward to the wings.

[Lisa laughing]

Like, it's so iconic. I can't wait to see them.

[camera clicking]

[bright pop music]

[Interviewer] What's the inspiration

for your hair and makeup?

Ooh! Let's ask them!

[all laughing]

What do you guys think?

I just want her to look like a sexy bombshell.

I don't know. Like a true Victoria's Secret hair.

[Lisa laughing]

I agree, and then, for like the makeup,

I just wanted her to have like a really bronzy

meets K-pop gorgeousness.

I wanted to bring out some details in her eyes,

so when she looks down, she has a little sparkle.

[Lisa] Mm! Yes!

[camera clicking]

We just finished talking to Lisa about final tweaks

and we're ready to go.

My name is Zaldy and I'm the Costume Designer

for the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

and this is Priscilla.

And I'm the Fashion Director of Victoria's Secret.

And she is the person who sent me the DM

asking if I wanted to do this show.

I said, Yes.

[both laughing]

[Priscilla] This is the pink carpet look.

One thing we're doing in the show,

we have some archival heritage pieces included.

This is from 2018.

We added elements to make it more red carpet worthy,

i.e. a suede short, et cetera, et cetera.

As soon as Lisa puts it on, you're gonna see

that it's just like absolutely belongs to her.

[Zaldy] Is this heritage too?

[Priscilla] Taylor Hill wore this in 2018.

[Zaldy] No way!

Yeah.

It's so good.

So we need to get Taylor Hill over here

to show it to her.

Lisa, also, is a great partner.

She also does have a really clear sense of personal style,

so I think you do know what's right for her and,

when we look through the archives to find something,

this was a perfect choice.

Yeah.

And we sent it to her first and she loved it.

I work a lot in music. I know that it's not just the look.

The look also has to perform

because it's mostly very active. You know,

it's like designed, it's fashion and everything,

but there's a lot of tricks

to make sure that everything stays in place.

When I heard that it was Lisa

and that she was singing Rockstar,

I immediately thought it had to be something really powerful

and strong and then I heard she was riding in

on a motorcycle and then I knew right away what to do.

I just thought of Victoria's Secret wings,

Harley Davidson wings, I thought soda tabs, for some reason,

because I thought it would be kind of like a modern feather.

And then, I thought about a Triumph belt buckle

a la Chanel with like Lisa's name on it.

It sort of came to me immediately.

[bright pop music]

[Priscilla] The entire show, we're trying to play off

of how you can think of wings in a different way.

The fact that he took the wings

and built this custom, 3D printed? Yes.

3D printed, exactly. To the body.

[Priscilla] Wing as a bra is kind of like the most.

[Zaldy] With her Rockstar logo on it as well.

[Priscilla] You can't really get

more Victoria's Secret than that.

[Zaldy laughing]

[Zaldy] I just wanted to like make it

really tough and feel like armor.

I chromed these ones specifically for her,

so that I could pick up all of the chrome on her bike.

It's also very Lisa that shape too,

so like we, obviously, did a lot of research on her videos.

And what she does.

But it was like, they asked.

You know, they see it.

She called me, she wrote me like on a Saturday

and I was like doing my Cirque du Soleil show in Vegas.

She's like, We have to send sketches by Tuesday

and we need to have a meeting at 7:00 AM on Monday.

And I'm like.

Yeah. Mm.

Okay! Let's do it. So.

He did it.

[camera clicking]

[energized pop music]

The best part of putting this look together

was, actually, getting to our first fitting.

She came to my studio and like we put the look on,

then we put the wings on and then the squealing began!

She screamed! She was just like, Ah!

She squeals, like.

It was like this dream.

It was priceless and precious

and that I will never forget.

Honestly, watching people put on wings for the first time

is still like heartwarming. It actually feels so great.

[camera clicking]

When I'm preparing for the big show like this,

I always say a little prayer.

[tongue clicking]

Yeah, before I go on stage.

Tonight, I'll be performing Rockstar.

And my newest single, Moonlit Floor.

I'm just honored to be performing for,

you know, the big comeback.

[Lisa chuckling]

I have a lot of rehearsal and yeah,

like I'm so excited about it,

so I can't wait to just go on stage and just.

[tongue clicking]

Kill it.

I heard Tyla and Cher's performing,

so I'm so excited to see their performance, too.

[energized pop music]

Thank you for hanging out with me. Bye!

[energized pop music]

[music continues]

[music fading]
