Champagne All Night! Nicky Hilton Rothschild, Alex Consani, and More Celebrate With Saks
While dancers swayed on raised platforms, their movements echoing the pulsing melodies that filled the cavernous Crane Club, the atmosphere crackled with a sophisticated poise. The scene? Saks’ prelude celebration for New York Fashion Week.
The melange of attendees, including Laura Harrier, Alex Consani, Thomas Doherty, Hari Nef, Nicky Hilton Rothschild, Jemima Kirke, and Ivy Getty, sampled from a sprawling seafood bar piled high with fresh oysters, lobster, and shrimp. Champagne was passed between the bars, dance floor, and sumptuous lounging booths scattered across the expansive space.
“I grew up in the Waldorf on 50th and Park, and Saks was like my backyard—they always know how to throw a great party,” Hilton Rothschild shared with a smile as the festivities began.
While French DJ duo Brice and Regis Abby, "Doppelganger Paris", warmed up the crowd of celebrities, designers, and fashion figures, the anticipation mounted for the evening's special guest.
A heightened sense of excitement hung in the air before the night’s performer, Caroline Polachek, presented herself for an intimate live show. In a demonstration of classically Caroline proportions, the artist entertained the group with her siren song and signature brand of vocals – a mix of operatic highs and breathy lows. For a few minutes, she transformed the space into her own world of sound.
Oscillating between a selection of her most recognizable tracks, including Bunny Is A Rider, Sunset, and So Hot You’re Hurting My Feelings, the singer serenaded the gathered group (in a Kiki de Montparnasse silk chiffon dress and Jimmy Choo pumps, no less). Cheers followed in festive waves as she concluded her set.
Ending the evening on a snackable high note, a parade of late-night treats closed out the event. Guests were offered a range of desserts, pizza served in custom Saks pizza boxes, and Saks to-go meals, which featured warm french fries and Saks-branded soda cans.
