When measuring, you also need to allocate 2ft of ‘buffer zone’ around the trampoline on any side. This buffer zone is to protect bouncers in case they accidentally jump off the trampoline. The zone should be free from any obstructions such as trees, furniture or fences. So, for a 14 foot trampoline, you need 18ft of clearance in every direction.
