Since 1982, Oasis has had the privilege of helping adults discover ways to better their lives as they age through the educational opportunities we offer.

We’re proud to offer programs in the arts, humanities, wellness, technology and volunteering. And there’s a gold mine of knowledge, talent and passion among our volunteers, instructors, supporters and staff who make these programs happen.

This blog is a place to share that knowledge with the wider world and help more people discover how to make the most of life after 50. And that’s where you can help!

Whether you’ve taken classes, taught them or volunteered in your community, we invite you to share your experience. Tell us about what you’ve learned, ideas you want to share, or tips you can offer. Volunteering to share that content here may help people like you to learn, build healthy lifestyles and use their talents in productive ways.

Not sure about blogging? You don’t have to be an experienced writer. Blogs are conversational and informal articles. Imagine sitting at your kitchen table with a friend, discussing things you’ve learned while volunteering, or writing an email to your son or daughter about the tips you gained from a health class. Simply put, it’s about passing on your experiences – speaking on paper, er … computer … to help someone else.

So what does that look like? Here are a few examples that may spur your thinking.

Discover your inner muse!  Here’s your chance to contribute your thoughts as a volunteer blogger to promote successful aging for all.
